Michigan State's Izzo one of three coaches on list
TACOMA, Wash. -- Citing sources, The News Tribune reported Sunday that the
Seattle SuperSonics have a list of three candidates to replace departed
coach Nate McMillan.
The newspaper says the team has told prospective candidates that the list
includes Phoenix Suns assistant Marc Iavaroni, Sonics assistant Bob Weiss
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
and at least one other candidate. The TNT says that other candidate is
believed to be Michigan State coach Tom Izzo.

The newspaper says since the Sonics have said they are going to be cost
conscious in hiring McMillan's replacement, that would seemingly rule out

McMillan left late Wednesday night after 19 seasons as a player, assistant
