Wolves' woes aren't Casey's fault
灰狼的戰績並不是阿西的問題

He messed up. He made mistakes. But he's not the reason the Timberwolves have
reeked worse than a rancid plate of lutefisk.
他搞砸了。他犯了錯。但他不是灰狼隊的狀況爛到一個不行的原因。
I wrote those three sentences the day Flip Saunders was fired.
老桑被解雇的時候，我就寫了以上三個句子。
Here it is almost two years later, and the words still pretty much apply. The
Timberwolves haven't reeked the entire season, just enough of it to get Dwane
Casey fired.
就算將近兩年過去，這幾句話看起來還是相當的貼切。 灰狼的狀況其實還不太糟，但也
已經糟糕到足以把阿西給解雇了。
It is the players who did this to Casey. He's not a lousy coach. He just got
stuck with a lousy team.
其實是球員們把阿西給解雇的。阿西不是個糟糕的教練，他只是身陷在糟糕的隊伍裡。
It has happened before in sports, and it will happen again. It's easier to
get rid of the coach than the underachieving, overpaid, uninterested bunch of
slackers who make up a significant piece of the team.
這和運動這件事情無關，而且他絕對會再次發生。相較於處理掉隊上一大堆沒有發揮水準
、領太多錢又讓人興趣缺缺的懶鬼，把教練解雇是一件輕鬆多了的事情。
I also wrote that paragraph the day Saunders was fired.
這也是我在老桑被解雇的時候就已經提出的觀點。
And, yep, most of those words still apply. These 2006-07 Wolves don't have as
many uninterested slackers as Flip's final team, but they are underachieving
and overpaid. And it is easier to lop off the coach than the players.
然後，沒錯，上面那一段話也大半符合現在的情勢。和老桑離開那年的陣容相比，06-07
的狼隊沒有那麼多讓人興趣缺乏的人，但他們仍然是沒有完全發揮而且還領太多錢。一樣
的，對教練開刀比對這些傢伙開刀簡單多了。
You know what the big problem is with the Wolves? The same big problem they
had in February 2005 when Flip was shown the door. Sadly, for them, vice
president of basketball operations Kevin McHale isn't a fraction as good at
running a basketball team as he was running the floor as a Hall of Fame
forward with the Boston Celtics.
你知道灰狼隊最大的問題是什麼嗎?和05年二月老桑被解雇的時候一樣的大問題。很不幸
的，對灰狼隊而言，McFail是個完全不稱職的總管，跟他以前在塞爾提克隊的時候相比。
There's another problem with McHale. He's too dang stubborn to step aside.
That competitive side that made him such a tremendous player is detrimental
now. He won't quit. Instead, he has begun a pattern of switching coaches when
the players he stocks the team with don't win.
另一個McFail的問題是，他死都不要退出。以前讓他成為一個超強球員的那個競爭態度
現在變成一個麻煩。他就是不肯退出，他的因應之道是：當球員打不好的時候，他就開
始換教練。
And there's another problem in all this. Wolves owner Glen Taylor hasn't
shown an inclination to show McHale the door.

So what the Wolves have now is a revolving door for coaches.
所以現在灰狼所擁有的，就是一扇給教練們的旋轉門。
