Fresh off a blowout victory over Golden State that gives them hope of moving
forward, the Timberwolves now face a double whammy.

First, they go back on the road — they have lost seven of their past eight
away from home — to face the Memphis Grizzlies.

從金州勇士手上拿下壓倒性的勝利之後，灰狼們重新燃起了希望。
但是他們卻面臨了兩個不同的打擊。
第一，他們正在客場之旅的路上，而他們的客場已經七連敗了。下一場要打灰熊。

In addition, the Grizzlies are buried under the worst record in the NBA. That
should give the Wolves reason for concern. This is a Wolves team that has a
better record against opponents over .500 (14-15) than opponents below .500
(9-11).

"It's another test for us," coach Randy Wittman said after Thursday's
practice.

The Wolves went 0-3 on their most recent road trip, including humbling losses
to the Hornets and Rockets sandwiched around a one-point defeat at Dallas.
Looking back on it, Wittman said, maybe the Hornets were better than
believed. With Chris Paul back, the Hornets are 3-1 in their past four games.

Ricky Davis proved to be a big part of Wednesday night's 121-93 victory over
the Warriors. He scored 26 points, boosted by 5-for-6 three-point shooting.

"I was shooting the ball real well," Davis said. "They found me out there.
Guys had nine or 10 assists, so I just have to commend them for finding me
when I was open."

Davis had to live up to Wittman's expectations after the coach benched him to
start the third quarter at Houston, and he did.

The Wolves had 38 assists, their ninth-highest total ever. Davis credited the
point guards for pushing the ball in transition after defensive stops, which
led to easy baskets, he said. But the players also zipped the ball around in
half-court sets.

"Everybody played together," Davis said. "If we can get everybody on the same
page where everybody's passing the ball and moving the ball, it's tough to
stop us."

金州勇士在KG跟MB身上花了太多的心思去防守他們，所以這讓Davis有機可乘。
灰狼隊總共有３８次的助攻，是他們歷史上第九多的。Davis也壓迫對方的控球後衛，

Those nights haven't come along often enough for Davis and his teammates, who
have won just three of their past 13 games.

Looking at the sets of wins followed by losses this season is a frustrating
experience for fans. There was a road win at Detroit followed by a home loss
to Atlanta. The biggest win this season, Phoenix, was followed by a loss to
Sacramento.

"That's what we're trying to do this year, we're trying to stop all the
setbacks," Davis said.

但是這些夜晚很少出現，因為灰狼隊在過去的１３場比賽只贏了三場球。
回首過去幾場重要勝利，那都是讓球迷們痛心的經驗。
灰狼隊在客場打贏活塞，可是在那之前在主場輸給老鷹；他們也在主場打贏太陽，

The Golden State victory doesn't qualify as a big one on paper. But in
reality it was important because Wittman had called the team out following a
28-point defeat at Houston, and the players responded.

Now the Wolves will go on the road for one of just three times in the next 11
games. Their 9-17 road record is something Wittman would like to improve
upon, and quickly.

"We need to get a win on the road, to get our confidence on the road back,"
Wittman said.

That's possible with more consistent efforts. But tonight's game can't be
another setback following a big win.

"I'm anticipating what I saw (Wednesday) night," Wittman said. "They came out
(in Thursday's practice) with good intensity and good focus. I'd be a little
concerned if we went through the motions. I anticipate we'll get after them."

對金州勇士的勝利雖然著墨不多，但是那對於教練來說是非常重要的事情，
因為他在對火箭大輸２８分以後，把球員集中起來聊了一陣子，而他們也有所回應。
如今灰狼正繼續他們的客場之旅，而他們在未來的１１比賽中只有３場客場。
他們難看的客場戰績９勝１７敗也可望有所提升。

"我們需要贏下客場，這樣才能提升整體的士氣"教練說。

灰狼很有機會拿下這場比賽，只要他們今晚持續的努力，
也就不會讓這場比賽變成大勝之後的挫敗。

"我預料到了星期三晚上的事情"教練說，"但他們在星期四的練習中表現出專注和意志，
 我注意著贏球的渴望，我覺得我們能夠贏下這場球。"
