Wolves' Jefferson has knee injury

Timberwolves forward Al Jefferson has suffered a mild sprain of the medial
collateral ligament in his right knee, the team said today. An MRI exam taken
yesterday confirmed the injury. Jefferson is expected to be sidelined for up
to three weeks, but should be ready by the start of the season.

In 2008, his first season with the Timberwolves, Jefferson averaged 21.0
points, 11.1 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game.
