Report: Minnesota willing to move Derrick Williams, Alexey Shved for veterans

Derrick Williams and Alexey Shved are reportedly on the market but this is
all about Kevin Love.

DW和Shved據報已經被放上交易桌，不過這和Love有很大關係。

If that sounds strange, follow along here. Minnesota is entering a “win now”
 phase and they are off to a nice 5-3 start this season thanks to their
expected strong offense and a better than expected defense. They look like a
playoff team if they can stay healthy.

聽起來很奇怪是吧？別急，聽我繼續說下去。灰狼隊已經要進入一個「現在就得贏球！」
的階段，而且多虧了猛烈的攻擊和比預期還好上一些些的防守，他們這季的開局是5-3。

But that is not enough. This note from Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports —
 in a story primarily about how the Knicks are selling Carmelo Anthony on how
they will go after Love in 2015 — includes this interesting tidbit about the
Timberwolves efforts to keep Love in house and how that may impact the roster.

有可能賣掉Melo然後追求Love，當然這也讓灰狼有機會展示他們有多想把Love留下來，而
這個動作絕對會大大影響球隊陣容。

Kevin Love is on deck to be recruited to New York in 2015, and that’s among
the reasons the Timberwolves are so determined to make deals to climb deep
into the playoffs these next two years. Young Minnesota players Derrick
Williams and Alexey Shved are available in deals for veterans to help these T
’wolves now, league executives told Yahoo Sports.

Love在2015能跳出而可以前往尼克，所以這也是為什麼灰狼可能會在這兩年裡更加堅決強
化戰力，在季後賽裡能走多遠就走多遠。聯盟裡的管理階層告訴Yahoo Sports，DW和Shved
目前開放交易，希望換來一些能夠立刻幫助灰狼的老手。

Thanks to the legacy of David Kahn (who refused to give him a five year max
contract extension), Love can opt out in the summer of 2015 and almost
certainly will. It’s no secret around the league that Love has had his
frustrations with the Timberwolves and he is seen as a guy who could bolt. He
will be the marquee free agent of 2015 and likely will have the Knicks,
Lakers and maybe even Bulls among others knocking on his door.

感謝偉大的Kahn，他拒絕給Love五年的最大約，所以Love在2015可以主動跳出合約而且看

Minnesota finally kicked Kahn to the curb last summer and brought in Flip
Saunders as the head of basketball operations with the goal of repairing the
organization’s relationship with Love and building a winner that will make
him want to stay.

灰狼在去年終於趕走了Kahn帶回老桑，而且開始修補和Love的關係、建構一個能夠贏球的
球隊，讓Love願意待在這。

Winning will be the key. Minnesota can offer one more year and larger raises
than all the other 2015 suitors, but what really makes it hard for Love to
leave Minnesota is if he thinks he is walking away from a contender or
potential contender. In two years, can this core with Ricky Rubio, Kevin
Martin and Nikola Pekovic grow into something that can challenge the Spurs,
Thunder, Clippers and Warriors out West?

贏球就是關鍵。當然了，灰狼在2015裡能夠比其他隊伍多開一年約而且薪資平均也更多，
但灰狼隊得讓Love覺得待在這有搞頭、或者至少看起來有搞頭才有可能。但在這兩年裡，
Rubio 、Love、Peko的三人組能夠成長到挑戰馬刺、雷霆、快艇、勇士等強隊嗎？

Saunders knows he needs more, hence the idea of moving good young players in
Williams and Shved for guys more ready to help now.

老桑知道他需要更多戰力，所以他願意用年輕潛力股換更能在現在幫助贏球的老鳥回來。

Minnesota is getting out of the player development, “we’re happy to be
up-and-comers” role and into something more serious. With that could come
some interesting player movement in the next couple years.
