[英中] 這句話，我的解讀不知是否正確（心理語言學相關）

讀paper的時候遇到了這句話

The evidence interpreted as reflecting a general slowing in children

with LI (language impairment) comes from regression procedures that show

the RTs (reaction time) of children with LI increasing linearly as a function

of the RTs of typically developing children across the same domains,

task, and conditions。

目前我的理解如下：

被認為是反應語言障礙兒童普遍反應慢的這些證據，是來自迴歸步驟

（可能應該說成是迴歸分析比較好？不知在「步驟」甚麼）

這種迴歸步驟顯示語障兒童的反應時間會隨著正常發展兒童的反應時間，

在同樣的區域，作業，和條件下線性增加。

我的問題：

1. as a function不知道是甚麼意思，無法加進語句中

2. 寫成中文好像也看不懂是甚麼意思。是哪裡翻譯或者是理解有誤？
