首先，如同樓上所述，正確書名是 Lord of the Rings。

你倒數第四句說 of = 倒裝的「的」於我看來雖粗糙但無誤，

這樣就應該翻成「戒指的魔王」，你倒數第二句怎麼顛倒啦？XD




不過語意上就有些複雜了。

一說是「（控制）戒指的魔王」；

又可謂「（以）戒指（為特色）的魔王」，比如常戴、以戒指聞名等等。

嚴格上來說，唯一不可能的解釋是「（受）戒指（控制）的魔王」，

因為這應該是 Lord of the Rings'，

也就是那所謂極罕見的雙重所有格。




雙重所有格什麼時候用呢？

比如 a portrait of the king 是以國王為內容的畫像，

但是 a portrait of the king's 是國王所擁有的畫像（未必在畫國王）。

更常見的是代名詞的例子：her dog = that dog of hers，不是 that dog of her。
