Blackburn Complete Sukur Signing
Blackburn Rovers have completed the signing of Turkish striker
Hakan Sukur on a free transfer.
The former Galatasaray and Inter Milan star has signed until
the end of the season after passing a medical and agreeing
personal terms with the club.
The 31-year-old was available on a free transfer having been
released by Parma.
Rovers boss Graeme Souness, who was with Sukur at Galatasaray
eight years ago, said: "I am delighted Hakan is joining us.
"He is carrying a slight injury at the moment but that has been
taken into account and we are confident he will strengthen our squad.
"I've worked with him before and I think he'll do a good job for us.
He's the best athlete I've ever worked with."
