I went to the Jazz open practice tonight and a scrimage broke out. Here are
my observations about each player.

First, Deron Williams took over this game and kept it the entire night. I was
not sold last year about December, but his play tonight out classed every
guard (PG and SG) on the team.

55 Araujo - Toronto got a steal in this trade. This guy was given 10 feet
each time he got the ball and he had no confidence in his shot at 15 feet
wide open. He fills the lane, but will fill the 13 position on the bench
better. Freethrow shot sucks
多倫多在這筆交易中占了便宜。他總是在10呎附近拿到球, 但在15呎處的

5 Boozer - Played pretty well, but the poor PG play of the white team and the
defense AK, Memo made it hard for him to get open and get the feed. When he
starts with Deron, he will be OK

傳球或得到空檔。如果讓他和Deron一起先發, 我想問題就會解決。

9 Brewer - Made some fine shots, but was paired up against AK about half the
time which made it hard for him to shine
有幾個不錯的進球, 但有一半時間和他對上的是AK, 那讓他難以發揮。

11 Dee Brown - I hate to say it, but he got schooled by Deron and Brian Chase
most of the night. He played tough, but had 3 open shots and missed. IMO the
worst of the four PGs in camp, but still could improve with a trip to the
Stampeed in Boise.

6 Brian Chase - seemed to catch the Deron momentum. He played well and made
some nice shots and direct the team when he was in.

31 Collins - No change, but much better than Haffa. Had a few nice finishes
and played the inside tough against Haffa and Boozer

對抗時表現得很強悍。

2 Fisher - Is now asking Sloan if he can play 2 guard and spell Deron when he
needs a rest. Appeared to be looking for the next trade.

51 Hiram Fuller - His jersey should say "better than Hoffa" Pretty active and
finished several shots inside. Has a hitch in his foul shot that needs to be
worked out, but based on this practice, second to the last guy cut since
Haffa is under contract.
他的球衣應該印上"比Haffa好"的字樣。活力十足, 在籃下投進幾球。
罰球有些問題, 根據這次的表現, 他可能是倒數第二個被裁的球員。

10 Giricek - Had two nice jumpers from long range, but totally out played by
CJ and Williams (when he played SG). No, I am not a big fan, but he did
nothing to change my mind.

15 Harpring - No change. Leg seem to be better. One of the players that hit
the open shot on the white team and a few baseline drives.

47 AK - Nice, good blocks, had a few 3s that were dead on. As good or a bit
better than last year.
打得很好, 蓋火鍋, 也有時限前的三分球。
和去年差不多或是好一些些。

34 CJ - Nice surprise. Very active, fed off of Derons direction and played a
very good game.
令人驚訝。非常活躍, 接受Deron的指示走位得分, 非常出色的比賽。

24 Paul Milsap - Defends, gets the rebound and hit some nice open shots. As
good as billed from the RMR
防守, 抓籃板, 把握空檔投射。就像在RMR一樣好。

13 Memo - Solid play with the outside shooting, Looks in shape and ran the
court well. Even played some defense against Boozer that surprised me.
外線仍舊, 體型看起來有保持, 也能跟上全場跑動。
防守Boozer的表現令我感到意外。

43 Roger Powell Jr - This guy played well by hitting shots and mixing it up
in the middle. He is the most fit basketball player I have seen and he seemed
to hold his own on the block even though Haffa and Boozer are much bigger.
能投籃, 能在禁區攪和。他是我看過身材體型最佳的籃球選手, 他能保
持自己的防守位置, 即使Haffa和Boozer的身材都比他高壯許多。

30 Tyer Smith - has the heart and knows the game well, but not the talent to
play in the big league. Like Spencer Nelson, close but no cigar.
有熱忱, 也能理解比賽, 但天份不足以在聯盟生存。
就像Spencer Nelson, 很接近但沒有機會。

44 Frans Steyn - Had a nice block against AK, but just has no ability to make
a shot. Couldn't even buy one in the shoot around from over 7 ft. Looks like
the Jazz will not see the 7' player this year.
蓋了AK一個漂亮的火鍋, 但毫無投籃能力。七呎近的距離也沒辦法投進。
看來爵士今年是看不到這大個了。

8 Dwill - By what I saw tonight, this is Deron's team. He directed, he
assisted, he was aggressive he had about 20 points and they only played 3
quarters. I was blown away and felt somewhat sorry for Fish and Dbrown.
就我今晚所見, 這是Deron的球隊。指揮, 助攻, 具侵略性,
只打了三節就拿下20分左右。

There you go.

The most fun was during the warm ups, CJ and Brewer seemed to have an unoffical
slam dunk contest going - doing about 3 a peice. Roger Powell and Hiram Fuller
joined in, but the OOOOs after CJs and Brewer's were the ones I heard.
