Comeback kids: Jazz rally from 21-point deficit and move to 11-1

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Much like the message plastered all over the
turkey fryer — the one warning not to overheat the cooking oil, for
 fear flames will turn big bird into a toasty serving of hot wings —
the Jazz received fair notice.

 火雞的油炸鍋外總會貼著個警告標籤，警告油炸的時候不要過熱，不然好好的
一隻烤火雞翅膀可是會焦掉 – 爵士隊的球員們被提醒要注意不要看輕他們的
對手。

It came from within.
Do not, veteran forward Matt Harpring cautioned, fall into the trap
of thinking it's okay to forever be rallying from behind.

這可是他們自己內部的聲音。
老鳥前鋒 Matt Harpring 警告說：別以為我們總是可以從落後中逆轉獲勝。

"We just can't get down every game," Harpring was saying just the
other day. "That's gonna run out of steam here soon. I mean, against
a good team they won't let you come back if you get down 16."

Harpring 說道：雖然我們只是不想輸而已，但是這種比賽方式會大量消耗我
們的能量，我的意思是，遭遇到一個很好的隊伍時，他們不會每次都讓你從

So what did the Jazz go and go and do on Thanksgiving Eve?

Completely ignoring Harpring's admonition, they flirted with fire
— going down by as many as 21 early in the third quarter — before
mounting yet another epic comeback to beat Sacramento 110-101 at
sold-out Arco Arena.

顯然他們完全把 Harpring 的忠告當成耳邊風，他們像著了火一樣，在前三節
二十一分的劣勢之下，他們在 Arco Arena 滿場觀眾的鼓譟下如史詩般的逆

And after improving to an NBA-leading 11-1 with seven straight wins,
they wondered not only how, but why.
"I don't know what we're doing. I really don't," guard Derek Fisher
said. "That takes way too much work. It's too long of a season to have
to try to do that night-in and night-out."

After coming back from 16 to beat both Toronto on Monday night and
Phoenix last Saturday night, though, they added one more night to their
growing list of down-but-not-out hits.

Carlos Boozer and Deron Williams led the charge this time, combining
for 52 points — including 18 together during a fourth quarter in which
the Jazz outscored the shorthanded Kings 39-17.
Boozer finished with a game-high 32 points on 14-of-20 shooting from
the field and pulled down 13 rebounds for his 10th double-double in 12
games this season, while Williams added another double-double with 20
points and 13 assists.
To pull off the trick this time, though, the Jazz had some help.

   They weren't quite the same team," Sloan added, "with those guys in
 that kind of shape."

Artest played 36 minutes, but was slowed by a bad back.
Bibby was accidentally kneed in the thigh by Boozer while driving to
the basket, and hobbled to the locker room with just more than a minute
 remaining in the opening half.

He returned for the first few minutes of the third quarter, but soon
turned the reigns over to his undrafted backup from Utah Valley State
College, Ronnie Price.

The 6-foot-2 Price took them and ran, sending Arco into a frenzy when
he soared to dunk with his left hand over the 6-foot-9 Boozer and made
it 74-59 Kings with just more than four minutes remaining in the third
 quarter.

Price scored 11 of his career-high 16 points on 4-of-5 field shooting
in that period alone, capping the quarter with a buzzer-beating 3-
pointer that put Sacramento into the fourth up 13 at 84-71.

That, though, is when the Jazz began to get their act together.
It took a while, but finally fell into form when Mehmet Okur — who had
 a 10-point, 10-board double-double of his own — knocked down a 3-
pointer to make it 101-99 Utah with one minute and 45 seconds
remaining.
Boozer followed with an Okur-fed dunk, and the Kings did not threaten
again — leaving Harpring, for one, to wonder just how long the Jazz
can keep this up.
Not that they even want to.
"We can't," Harpring said. "We've been doing well right now with it,
but we can't rely on that every game. It's gonna stop sometime."

不過，此時也是爵士隊的球員開始團結一致反攻的開始。
他們花了不少時間，不過當今天拿下十分十籃板 Mehmet Oker 投入使爵士101-99
領先的三分球時，比賽時間只剩下一分四十五秒，Boozer 跟著接到 Okur的傳球

即使那不是他們想要的
“這樣真的不行” Harpring 說道 “ 當然我們現在作的挺不錯的，不過我們真的
不該老是搞這種逆轉的把戲，這種事情總該停止了”
