SACRAMENTO — One day after the Jazz said they both
would not play, one of Utah's two walking wounded
returned anyway.
It was not, however, usual starting small forward
Andrei Kirilenko — who on Monday said he might be
good to go Wednesday night in Sacramento. Instead,
it was veteran shooting guard Gordan Giricek —
who missed the past seven games with tendinitis in
his right Achilles.
Kirilenko, meanwhile, suggested his return from a
sprained right ankle that has now caused him to
miss five consecutive games should come soon.
"Better," he said prior to Wednesday's game against
the Kings. "I think next game."

With Giricek added to the active roster after making
it through pre-game warmups without any problems
Wednesday, rookie swingman Roger Powell Jr. was put on
the inactive list.

Jazz starting point guard Deron Williams, meanwhile,
played as promised Wednesday — despite an assortment
of bumps and bruises on both of his wrists, one elbow
and his hip.
"Basketball is a contact sport, you know. I mean,
anybody that thinks it's not — you pay," Williams said.
"So, you're gonna get injured. You're gonna get bumps
and bruises. But you've got to play through them."
另外，爵士先發控衛 Deron Williams不顧身上的一堆淤青和
擦挫傷，如同他在星期三所保證的出賽。
"你知道籃球運動是一種具有肢體接觸的運動" Williams說道
