Call it the Delta Center, the EnergySolutions Arena or
name it after any other big company that wants to put
down the bucks to have its name displayed on top of the
glass and cement building that is home to the Utah Jazz.

Fans don't seems to care that the name of the building
is as long as their team keeps winning.

That seemed to be the overall reaction from Jazz fans
to Monday's announcement that the Delta Center is no
longer know as the Delta Center, but the EnergySolutions
Arena.

你可以稱呼它為 Delta Center，EnergySolutions Arena或者是
隨便那個大公司取的名字，只要這間公司願意把他們的名稱貼在
這座被猶他爵士隊作為主場的混泥土建築物玻璃窗上頭。

只要他們的球隊持續贏球，球迷們看起來毫不在乎這棟建築物叫
什麼名字。

這似乎是當星期一大部分爵士球迷們被通知說 Delta Center 不
復存在，這棟建築物將改名為 EnergySolutions Arena的標準反
應。

"I thought it was just call "Jazz Central"" said fan Dee
Norton-Michelsen " In all seriousness, I don't think
anyone will care what it's called as long as the Jazz
keep playing the way they are. If they should start losing.
[Jazz owner Larry H. Miller] may be in trouble."

For fan sam Russel, the name change means nothing more
than seeing an unfamiliar logo on the familiar building.
Until the permanent logos arrive, the exterior " Delta
Center" signs have been covered by white banners with
the words " EnergySolutions Arena," in green, blue and
black lettering.

"It's just business," he said. " Who cares what the name
of the arena is , after all Delta is in bankruptcy."

『我想那個地方應該稱作（爵士中心）』一位叫做 Dee Norton-
Michelsen 的球迷說道：『認真的來說，只要爵士隊繼續以這種
方式打球，我不認為有誰會在乎這棟建築物叫什麼，不過如果
他們開始輸球了，那有麻煩的那個人應該是（爵士隊老闆
Larry H. Miller）』。

對另一個球迷 Sam Russell來說，名字的改變只不過是一個以前
沒見過的商標出現在這棟熟悉的建築物上罷了，在新的看板到達
以前，原本的 Delta Center 將會用以綠色，藍色和黑色的字寫
著 EnergySolutions Arena的白色大看板給蓋著，『這只不過是
公事公辦』他說道：『誰管他叫什麼，就算是所有的 Delta都倒
了也一樣』。

Having a team play in a building sponsored by a nuclear
waste company surely will produce some great nicknames
"the dump," "the landfill" or the "filloutshelter" among
them and Energysolutions CEO Steve Creamer acknowledged
his companies might be involved in more than a few jokes.

"We know there will be some humor, and some shots taken,"
Creamer said.

The nuclear waste business is a contentious one with some
believing companies such as EnergySolutions are turning
Utah into a dumping ground for low-level radioactive
material.

不過當一個球隊由處理核能廢棄物的公司來作為贊助商時，很肯
定會出現很多有趣的暱稱諸如『垃圾場』，『掩埋場』或者是『
防輻射塵之地下避難所』之類的，EnergySoluions的總裁 Steve
Creamer 承認他的公司的確很容易被拿來這樣消遣。

『我知道這些挖苦的話都很幽默啦』他說道。

不過，這間公司旗下的子公司對於把一些低輻射的核能廢棄物掩
埋在猶他州某些處理場的作法，的確引起了一些爭議。

Miller is mindful he might face some criticism in additon
to jokes, but he made it clear that he delved into the
world of nuclear waster management and gave EnergySolutions
a personal approval before agreeing to the deal.

"Any time you hear the word " nuclear" ears perk up, Miller
said " but before the do that, I'd suggest the find out
what they are talking about. I can't write a manul, but
I know enough to be totally satisfied in the business they
are engaged in here in Utah and around the world. It is
a safe business."

Miller當然對於這種可能的評論或玩笑了然於新，不過他在同意
簽訂這項合約之前已經仔細研究清楚。

Miller說道『不管何時你只要聽到核能兩個字耳朵就會豎起來，

Count fan Art Murphy as someone who agrees with Miller's
assessment. Murphy is an enviromental engineer who has
served as project manager for cleanups of more than 20
Superfund Sites.

"when I tell people I am in the nuclear waste cleanup
business, they always act as though I or my cmpany made
the mess," he said. " We are cleaning it up for all of
us and future generations. EnergySolutions is not the
enemy."

Are Murphy 是同意 Miller說法的其中一位球迷，他是一位負責
為二十多個 Superfund Sites提出計畫的環境工程師，他說道『
每當我跟人說我在做核能廢料清理的事業時，大家都表現的像是
我或我的公司在製造這些麻煩，但是我們其實是在為了全人類和
我們的後代子孫作這些事情，EnergySolutions 可不是敵人』。








我......以後想去看爵士隊比賽耶...
