The 29-year-old guard from Zagreb, Croatia, was acquired in a trade with the
Magic for DeShawn Stevenson in February 2004. He has a 2-year-old daughter,
Lara, who lives with his ex-wife in Croatia.

Were you always planning to be a basketball player?
Actually, I was thinking about going into law when I was young. But I was
a B student when I was 16, so maybe I didn't have good enough grades. I maybe
could get into school, but I thought it's selfish - why would I take someone's
place, because I know I'm not going to finish. Because I started to know then
I would be basketball player.

So you would be a lawyer today? 
I don't know that. What I would like to be is a forensic scientist. I always
liked things like that.

You wore braces on your teeth during your first season and a half here.
What was that like? 
It was weird, especially at that age. It took me 18 months, but I like it.
It's great now. When I was in Croatia, they told me I was too old for braces.
But when I came here, they told me, 'Why not?' I put them in in Orlando. At
beginning, they hurt. I wore guard in my mouth, but it was hard for me to
breathe, so I get rid of it. But I had crooked teeth and wanted to change. I
saw that it could happen.
