Jazz Profile: C.J. Miles The Salt Lake Tribune Article Launched: 02/04/2007 02:11:32 AM MST The second-year guard doesn't turn 20 until next month, but he already has 45 games of NBA experience. Drafted out of Skyline High in Dallas, C.J. - Calvin Junior - is one of four children of Calvin and Lanis Miles. When did you realize you could be an NBA player? In middle school, I started to realize I could do some things on the court. My dad saw it first. I was [5-foot-8] in eighth grade, and I walked into high school 6-2. My dad worked with me, taught me all the fundamentals. I was playing baseball, too, pitcher and first base, but I stopped. I didn't wake up on Saturday mornings and think, "I want to play baseball." I'd wake up and go to the gym. What was the hardest thing about coming to the NBA at 18? Being on my own. As a kid, other people are in your ear reminding you of stuff, but now I had to do all that. At home, if I had an appointment or an appearance, my parents would take me. And chores, stuff around the house, you get lazy. Every couple of weeks, it would get to the point where it was terrible. I'm a lot neater now, it's picked up. http://www.sltrib.com/jazz/ci_5155590 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 220.134.49.169
