The Utah Jazz opened the phone lines and posted Internet sales links on
Thursday, Mar. 1 to sell 2007-08 season ticket packages, setting a new
franchise record for sales in one day. Over 722 new season tickets were
sold. This makes up 31, 046 individual game tickets for the 2007-08 season.
“The electricity surrounding the Jazz this year has resulted in our best day
of ticket sales in franchise history,” said team president Dennis Haslam. “
When fans purchase a season ticket package for 2007-08, they automatically
get the right to purchase playoff tickets for 2006-07. With single game
tickets sparse for the remainder of this season, having guaranteed playoff
tickets is a real benefit. Fans seem to understand that the quicker they
call, the better the seat they will get for future games,” said Haslam.
The Jazz has sold 95.44% of the arena for the remainder of this season
leaving less than 1,000 tickets available for most games
