Miles said he has no regrets about leaving high school for the NBA. Miles expected to be a first-round draft pick. Instead he was a second-rounder, the 34th selection overall. It was a major gamble for the former Skyline High School star, one that appeared to backfire. But it appears the Jazz coaches like Miles' potential, and he seems to have a long-term future not only with the Jazz, but in the league. Miles, who is in the last season of a two-year contract, said he would like to remain with Utah. Miles earned a base salary of $664,209 this season is a restricted free agent. The Jazz has the right to match any offer from another team. "I hope I've shown them what I can do and with another year in summer league, who knows?" Miles said before Friday night's game against the Mavericks. "I would like to be here next year because everybody on this team is like my brother." Miles has played in 35 games and started 13 this season, averaging 10 minutes and 2.8 points per game. Last season, Miles played in 23 games with no starts. "It's a learning experience," Miles said. "I really understand that the NBA is a business and I'm just trying to enjoy this experience."
