All that Jazz is nothing but noise. Yao and T-Mac made the trip to Utah.


This just in, since a bunch of people have been asking. The Rockets arrived
at their hotel at roughly 3 p.m. Salt Lake City time and Yao Ming and Tracy
McGrady have made the trip.

Jeff Van Gundy has been wrestling with how much time he'll give them on
Wednesday night in meaningless game No. 82.

Jerry Sloan says all of his players will be available and will play for the
Jazz.

This was the Utah Jazz at their smooth-functioning best. Carlos Boozer with
24 points, Mehmet Okur with 16, Derek Fisher and Deron Williams with 13 each.
The Jazz was clobbering Portland 94-72 and it was only the end of the third
quarter.

But during the break, while the music played and the crowd cheered, the
score from Houston was quietly flashed up one of the auxiliary scoreboards
at the EnergySolutions Arena: Rockets 120, Suns 117.

When it was over, the Jazz had a meaningless 130-93 win over the Trail
Blazers and now another insignificant meeting with the Rockets on Wednesday
night.

No showdown game for home-court. No winner-take-all for the early advantage
in the first round of the playoffs.

The Jazz got their act together and cruised on Monday night. But it was too
little too late. This is only the 6th win in the last 19 games for Utah,
dating back to March 10.

When the Jazz left Houston after an 86-83 win on April 1, home-court still
seemed locked up. But Utah proceed to loss 7 of its next 10.

Now the Jazz stare history in the face. Utah has not won a playoff series
without the home court advantage since 1996. Since that second-round win
over San Antonio, the Jazz are 0-5 without the home court.

"That is what it was very important that I mention it on a number of
occasions," said Jazz head coach Jerry Sloan.

Veteran point guard Derek Fisher, who has three championship rings from his
days with the Lakers, kept a stiff upper lip.

"I would not be overly concerned with where we play and exactly who it is,"
Fisher said. "I mean, it does not really matter...We have to focus on us."
