Memo To Sit Out Austria Game Due To Injury

The Turkish National team continued their preparations for the European
Championship at the city of Bormio in Italy. During yesterdays final practice
Mehmet Okur of the Utah Jazz was injured when his foot landed on Ender Arslan.
Memo will be held out of the first friendly game the Turkish National team
will play tonight against Austria due to the pain in his ankle. The Turkish
National staff is expected to hold out Memo from practices the next couple of
days.

We spoke with Memo and this is what he had to say about the camp and his
injury: "We are working extremely hard as unite. My injury was just bad
fortune. Bad luck I guess. I have some pain in my ankle.  I hope to be better
enough to start practice in the next couple of days. The team is looking good
and everybody is working hard. I wanted to play in this first friendly because
I haven't played since early June, but I guess it wasn't meant to be.".
