With no obvious translation for "rookie wall" from English to Ukrainian, Jazz
guard Deron Williams came to center Kyrylo Fesenko's aid during an interview
Wednesday by smacking the side of his locker.
由於找不到"菜鳥撞牆期"的適當烏克蘭語翻譯，
小胖乾脆用手去撞衣櫃好讓費三科明白這詞兒的意義。
That physical definition was all Fesenko needed to understand the concept of
getting over the hump in his first professional season in the U.S.
雖然用這動作來解釋是怪異了點，
但費三科非得趕緊明白才行，
否則他在美國的第一年恐怕只會更不好過。
"I just know this part of the season is the most hard, the most danger for
the players," Fesenko said, "because they started to get tired of basketball
a little bit and it's very important to find something that can take you,
that can give you inspiration."
「我懂得對球員們來說，這一年是最艱辛也最危險的，」費三科說，
「這樣的生活型態容易使人開始對籃球感到些許厭倦，」
「所以如何去找到一個可以激發你熱情的玩意兒是必要的。」
Fesenko has been on assignment with the Utah Flash since Dec. 27 and some of
his recent performances have suggested that he did hit a wall in the NBA
Development League. He totaled just 10 points and 10 rebounds in two games
over the weekend.
費三科十二月底的時候被下放到發展聯盟，
不過近兩場合計僅十分十籃板的表現，
也許正暗示著他已經遇到了撞牆期。
But Fesenko will have no problem what he calls "inspiration" in the next
month. His mother, Irine, is expected to receive a visa within the week and
will join him in Utah. "I will be the happiest person in the world," Fesenko
said.
不過別擔心，費三科可不用哭著回去找媽媽，
因為他老媽就快辦好入境簽證，要來猶他陪他啦！
「喔耶，大家好～我是海-綿-寶-寶屋！」費三科高聲歡呼。
With the Jazz unable to add a backup big man at the NBA trade deadline, the
question is whether Fesenko could win a spot on the playoff roster. It may
not happen, but the Flash are expected to prepare Fesenko in case he is
needed.
由於爵士未能在期限前交易來他們想要的大個子球員，
大家不免好奇費三科有沒有機會被召喚回來打季後賽，
也許機會不大，但閃光隊將會以此作為訓練費三科的方針。
"At this particular time, I don't know if we would or not," Jazz coach Jerry
Sloan said. The Jazz could use a third center for potential playoff matchups
against Phoenix (Shaquille O'Neal), San Antonio (Tim Duncan) or the L.A.
Lakers (Andrew Bynum).
「現在才幾月，我幹嘛要跟你說。」教皇沒有給答案。
假如費三科能上，季後賽面對一些很強很暴力的中鋒時，
爵士就有三個人可以輪流當砲灰。
Fesenko, who has averaged 9.8 points and 6.9 rebounds with the Flash, said he
would welcome the opportunity to return to the Jazz. After spending All-Star
weekend in New Orleans, he has a goal of playing in the rookie/sophomore game
next February.
目前在發展聯盟平均有9.8分及6.9籃板的費三科說，
他會很高興有機會回爵士打球，
特別是在明星週末暢遊了紐奧良之後，
他現在已經立定志向明年要打新秀挑戰賽。
"To do that, I need to be in NBA," said Fesenko, who has been battling a
respiratory infection, "because D-League doesn't have sophomore game. I want
to get back here and I want to stay here. That's why I'm here."

Mehmet Okur was asked the secret behind the Jazz's six consecutive victories
over the Pistons. "I think we love challenge," Okur said. "They are one of
the best teams in the league so we really play good against them. I think we

If they cannot sign free agent Brent Barry, Phoenix would be interested in
former Jazz guard Gordan Giricek if he is bought out of his contract by
Philadelphia, according to the Arizona Republic. Giricek was rumored earlier
this month to have interest from two teams in the Western and two teams in
the Eastern Conference.
鳳凰城當地媒體報導，假如簽不到貝瑞的話，
太陽對可能會被七六人買斷合約的GG倒是頗有興趣。
稍早的謠言則是說東西區各有兩支球隊想要簽GG。
The 61 points allowed by Detroit in the second half were a season-high.
下半場被爵士拿了61分是活塞本季至今失血最多的一次。
