The Jazz didn't practice Tuesday, but starting small forward Andrei Kirilenko
and starting shooting guard Ronnie Brewer both were treated for injuries.

Kirilenko, who has missed Utah's last two games with a bruised right calf,
also took part in shooting drills with special assistant Jeff Hornacek.
ΑΚ因右後小腿挫傷已經缺席兩場比賽，

The Jazz are calling him a "game-time decision" for tonight's game against
Minnesota, but Kirilenko said Monday that he thought he'd be able to return.

Brewer missed Monday's win over Washington because of a strained right groin
sustained in Sunday's loss at Minnesota.

He's "questionable" for tonight, a Jazz spokesman said.

SMASHMOUTH: After Sunday's game, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported that
ex-Jazz swingman Kirk Snyder of the Timberwolves — smiling to show off his
fresh bloody lip — said this about longtime Jazz small forward Matt
Harpring: "I have a history of getting bloody lips from him. Every time we
play, he thinks he has to hit me in the mouth. I don't even worry about it
anymore, because I know I'm going to get one. I had to get stitches after one
practice with him. He's a physical specimen, kind of like myself ..."

SLOAN HONORED: The NBA on Tuesday named Jazz coach Jerry Sloan its Western
Conference Coach of the Month for March, the league announced.
史龍獲選為三月份西區最佳教練。
It's the ninth such accolade for Sloan, who last was named Coach of the Month
in November 2006 — but never has won official NBA Coach of the Year honors.

The Northwest Division-leading Jazz went 12-4 in March, including Monday's
129-87 win over the Wizards. That includes five victories over teams holding
playoff-qualifying positions as of Tuesday.

Boston's Doc Rivers was named Eastern Conference Coach of the Month after
leading the Celtics to a 13-3 record in March.

Chris Paul of New Orleans earned NBA Western Conference Player of the Month
honors for March, beating a field of nominees that included Jazz point guard
Deron Williams, and Atlanta's Joe Johnson was named Eastern Conference Player
of the Month.
Paul averaged 24 points, 13.3 assists and 2.67 steals per game while leading
the Hornets to an 11-4 record during the month.
Williams, constantly compared to his fellow NBA Draft Class of 2005 point,
averaged 19.6 points and 13.3 assists while recording 14 double-doubles in
March — making him and retired John Stockton the only players in Jazz
history to average 19-plus points and 13-plus assists in the same month.

Stockton did it in February 1991, when he averaged 20.1 points and 14.4
assists.

Williams distributed 212 assists during the month — linking him with
two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash of Phoenix as the only players to dish 200-plus
assists in the same month since ex-Jazz guard Mark Jackson did it in January
1997.

That's also the most assists for any NBA player in any month since Stockton
in January of 1992, when he had 215.

A survey of 13 ESPN writers/NBA analysts ranks LeBron James the unanimous No.
1 choice for which age 23-and-under player they'd want as the foundation of a
team.

James garnered 65 points, followed by Orlando's Dwight Howard (48 points) and
Paul (40 points).

Williams finished fourth with 10 points and received only one vote — from
Ric Bucher, who had Williams third, one spot ahead of Paul — higher than
fourth place.

Eight panelists did not have Williams in their top five, and only one besides
Bucher — Jalen Rose — had Williams ahead of Paul.

HE SAID IT: Minnesota's Ryan Gomes, speaking to the Minneapolis Star Tribune

so far out in the mountains that nobody's really thinking about them."

don't really matter. It's just about winning."
