首先，這個作者認為 Fess 在今年市場上有三年9M的身價。
不過畢竟是個受限自由球員，
同時，爵士隊也擺明了會跟進任何合理的報價。
這應該是一直沒有球隊對他報價的原因，
因為要是報了價又拿不到，只是徒增薪資運轉上的困難。
因此以 Fess 的立場，他很有可能接受爵士一年1.1M的報價，
這樣對他有兩個好處:
1. 明年就變成自由球員
2. 目前的薪資協議只到2011年，而且狀況不明朗，
如果又發生封館，他可以到歐洲打球繼續賺錢。
