Former NBA and UNLV star Armen Gilliam died Tuesday night of a heart attack.
According to WTAE in Pittsburgh, Gilliam, a 6-foot-9 power forward nicknamed
"The Hammer" during his playing days, collapsed while playing basketball at a
gym in Collier Township. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was
pronounced dead at age 47.

前NBA、內華達大學拉斯維加斯分校的明星球員Armen Gilliam在美國時間週二晚上因心臟
病逝。Gilliam身高6呎9吋，當年他有個綽號叫"The Hammer"，而發病當時他正在打籃球，
緊急送往附近的醫院仍舊回天乏術，享年47歲。

Gilliam was a star on the top-ranked UNLV Runnin' Rebels team that won a
record 38 games and went to the NCAA Final Four in 1987 before being selected
with the No. 2 overall pick by the Phoenix Suns in the NBA Draft later that
same year.

He also played for the Charlotte Hornets, Philadelphia 76ers, New Jersey
Nets, Milwaukee Bucks and Utah Jazz in a 13-year professional career before
retiring in 2000.

Gilliam, who changed the spelling of his first name from Armon, finished his
NBA career with 12,700 points, averaging 13.7 points and 6.9 rebounds in 929
games.

1987年，大學時期曾帶領球隊打進NCAA Finals，而且同年選秀會太陽選了這位榜眼

2000年他退休以前，曾在黃蜂、76人、籃網、公鹿、爵士，共打了13年職籃

而他也曾改過名，Armen改成Armon

生涯共出賽929場比賽，總得分12700，場均13.7分、6.9籃板
