課程概述 This course provides comprehensive overview of diagnostic
dermatopathology in the dog and cat and melds both clinical and
histopathologic diagnosis by correlating the clinical and microscopic
features of the skin diseases.
參考書籍 Ihrke PJ, Walder EJ, Affolter VK and Gross TL (2005). Skin
Diseases of the Dog and Cat: Clinical and Histopathologic Diagnosis,
2nd Edition, Wiley-Blackwell.
課程大綱
Week 01 Diseases of the epidermis- pustular diseases of the epidermis
Week 02 Diseases of the epidermis- bullous, acantholytic and interface
diseases of the epidermis and the dermal-epidermal junction
Week 03 Diseases of the epidermis- necrotizing, spongiotic and
vesicular diseases of the epidermis
Week 04 Diseases of the epidermis- ulcerative and exudative diseases
of the epidermis.
Week 05 Diseases of the epidermis- hyperplastic diseases of the
epidermis and diseases with abnormal cornification.
Week 06 Diseases of the dermis- perivascular, vascular and lichenoid
diseases of the dermis.
Week 07 Diseases of the dermis- infectious/noninfectious nodular and
diffuse granulomatous and pyrogranulomatous diseases of the dermis;
Week 09 Midterm Exam
Week 10 Diseases of the dermis- nodular and diffuse diseases of the
dermis with prominent eosinophils, neutrophils or plasma cells.
Week 11 Diseases of the dermis- degenerative, dysplastic and
depositional diseases of dermal connective tissue.
Week 12 Diseases of the adnexa- pustular and nodular diseases
with/without adnexal destruction
Week 13 Diseases of the adnexa - mural diseases of the hair follicle,
atrophic and dysplastic diseases of the adnexa.
Week 14 Diseases of the panniculus
Week 15 Epidermal, follicular and adnexal neoplasms
Week 16 Mesenchymal neoplasms – fibrous, vascular, lipocytic, muscular
and neural tumors
Week 17 Mesenchymal neoplasms – melanocytic, histiocytic, mastocytic,
lymphocytic tumors
Week 18 Final Exam
