             Valencia confirm interest in Japanese starlet

    Valencia have confirmed they're keen on Japanese youngster Sota Hirayama.

    The Japan U23 international is still at University and has emerged as a
top target for Valencia.

    In the country for their preseason tour, Valencia president Jaime Orti
said: "There is a real interest, we know the player and we know that he is
interesting, but no decision has been made."

    Coach Claudio Ranieri added: "He is an interesting option."
