Valencia's Fiore breaks silence over Ranieri bust-up

Valencia midfielder Stefano Fiore has broken his silence over the bust-up
with coach Claudio Ranieri which has seen him out of the first team picture
for almost a month.
The Italian has been welcomed back into contention by Ranieri after clear
-the-air talks last week.
Fiore said: "I did something that I never had done before in my life.
The trainer asked me to play the last seven or eight minutes against Inter
Milan and I told him that I wouldn't because for me it was a humiliation, a
lack of respect.
"I was mistaken and I asked for his forgiveness."
The former Lazio playmaker added: "I never said I wanted to leave
Valencia. I only said that if the situation did not improve I would have to
consider my options.
"But everything is fine now.
"I am not 35, nor am I coming to the end of my career. I want to play
and for that reason I'm unhappy when I'm not."
He also revealed: "It was my teammates who asked the coach to end my
suspension. I am grateful for that."
