看了這麼多篇，竟然沒有一篇完全譯對的，也不見有人指正，這樣要怎麼唸書啊-.-
(比較接近文意的大概是 ahyang 的譯文吧，但仍有嚴重錯誤)

譯文 -
就數學命題能解釋實在這一點來說，它們是不確定的；就它們是確定的這一點
來說則並不描述實在…可是另一方面，數學一般而言 (特別還有幾何) 之所以
會存在，肯定是由於我們想知道實在對象的性質之故。

在我看來這是一種頗為素樸的觀點 (hey, no offence to Einstein)
簡單地說，這段話可以重寫如下----
從因果上說，數學的出現起自人在經驗世界中認識的需要
可是從邏輯上說，數學自成一套必然，不受經驗世界左右
因此，數學和經驗世界就有一種若即若離的關係 (亦即引文中第一句話所表達的)
