Taurasi Injured, Mercury Stop Fever
PHOENIX, July 24 (Ticker) -- The Phoenix Mercury won
their third straight game, but lost their best player.
Diana Taurasi injured her left thigh in the first
half of the Mercury's 71-56 victory over the Indiana Fever.
The first overall pick in April's draft and WNBA's
fourth-leading scorer, Taurasi left the game with 1:53
remaining in the first half with a bruised right thigh.
She was injured after colliding with Fever forward Tamika Catchings.
