The anthropologist Bronislaw Malinowski had a conversation with a cannibal (I
believe on the Trobriand Islands) during World War I. The cannibal asked
Malinowski how the Europeans could possibly eat the great number of people
being killed in the war. Malinowski replied that they did not eat them at
all. The cannibal was shocked, and told Malinowski that the Europeans were
utterly barbaric, to kill so many people when they didn't even have any
intention of eating them.

一次大戰時Bronislaw Malinowski這位人類學家在食人族部落做田野調查

食人族就問Malinowski說:

"聽說你們打仗死很多人，但歐洲人怎麼可能吃掉那麼多人?"

Malinowski說:我們歐洲人不吃人的

食人族表示震驚 "你們歐洲人真野蠻，沒有要吃還殺那麼多人!"
