補充一點東西，
資料來源:Matchlock musketeers(1588-1688) http://ppt.cc/Wcux
這本書的資料似乎以英國為主，因此貨幣單位是
12 便士(pence/penny) = 1 先令 (shilling)
20 先令(shilling) = 1 磅 (pound)
士兵的薪水通常是每天八便士，一周付七天薪水共為四先令八便士，
一個月算28天薪水，但是每年要算大概13個月(而非12個月)才會是正常的數據。
1649-1655年的新模範軍(克倫威爾的部隊)薪水比較高，但這和當時物價通膨有關，
後來又降回一天八便士了。
英國內戰的部隊的問題不在於薪水過低，而是經常缺餉，
國家發給士兵的債券則因為管理不善而往往被軍官和商人以賤價收購(20~25%的面額)。
另一種收入是掠奪或因戰功而獲得的賞金。
以下是幾支部隊的薪水
Earl of Essex's Irish Army, 1599
Officers and men Per Diem(每日薪水)
Captain 2 shillings + 6 pence = 30 pence
Lieutenant 2 shillings = 24 pence
Ensign 1 shilling + 6 pence = 18 pence
Sergeant 1 shilling = 12 pence
Drummer 1 shilling
Private soldier 8 pence

Captain 6 shillings = 72 pence
Lieutenant 3 shillings = 36 pence

Civil War Armies, 1642-48

Lieutenant 4 shillings = 48 pence

Sergeant 1 shilling + 4 pence = 16 pence
Clerk 1 shilling = 12 pence

Royal Army, 1672
