Storm disclosed the 8.11 patchnotes. Here’s the translation.
Storm公布8.11的更新內容,翻譯如下。
- Supertesters get three new vehicles for testing: T23E3 (US tier 7 premium
medium tank), T95E6 (US tier 10 reward tank), Grosstraktor Krupp (tier 3
German premium medium tank)
超測玩家拿到三台新車,T23E3(歷史遺跡,大致上可以類比成M1A2版的T20,UST7premMT)
、T95E6(T95+M58,USTXMT,獎品車←個人覺得WG浪費這台車,變成獎品車之後就是看大公
會之間搓湯圓,搓完之後一兩千人開個三天,炫耀完之後這輛車就從遊戲內容中半移除,
放MT三線還比較有價值)和克魯伯重型拖拉機(DET3premMT)
Maps
- new map “Windstorm”, 1000x1000m, European winter map, semi-city map
新地圖Windstorm,1km*1km,北歐冬季半城市地圖。
- fixed some game elements on the following maps: Erlenberg, Redshire,
Highway, North-West
修正這四張地圖的內容
- completely removed the Port map from all the game modes

- added new map “Ruinberg on fire” – Ruinberg with rain and fires going

- added new map “Winter Himmelsdorf” – winter version of general

- fixed the bug where you can enter the building inside the cap circle in

- improved the game performance (SS: FPS) on maps Fisherman’s Bay, Serene
Coast, Severogorsk and Ensk
改良這幾張地圖以獲得更高的FPS
- fixed the excessive brightness of some effects on certain maps
某些地圖打光打過頭修正
Mechanics and fixes
- added new mode, “National battle”, in which the teams are balanced based
on the nation of origin of the tanks
新增國家模式,隊伍以同國家方式平衡(沒理解錯就是同隊都是同國的車...)
(譯註:SS不看好,基本上我同意)
- added new group operations with the crew: mass retraining of the entire
crew on the new tank and the one-click return of the old crew
新增一鍵重訓整組組員功能以及一鍵抓回舊組員功能
(不確定第二個指的是整組組員一鍵換車還是回收不小心砍掉的組員)
- added the option to disable the battle chat (only text messages – you will
still see the “command wheel” commands and pings)
可以關閉對話功能(看不到誰關掉對話就是了,WG怕一個人關其他人全部關掉),
但是內建的指令和地圖標示還是看的到。
(以防洗頻來說應該反過來做,反正90%的地圖標示都是亂按的)
- added the option to view the chat history
可以看對話歷史訊息
- added new icon for the situation when the tank is on fire, analogical to
the drowning icon
新增戰車著火警示,和淹死警示類似。
- added the option of disabling the killcam (viewing the tank that killed you)
可以關掉擊殺鏡頭功能(鏡頭短時間換到幹掉你的那台車上)。
- the mission/discount window – some improvements were added
任務/打折視窗小改良
- when you rightlick on a tank in your garage, new option was added to go
straight to that tank’s statistics
在車庫的車上點右鍵時增加直接跳到該車戰績的選項。
- research window now has an option to go to that tank you are viewing in the
hangar
增加從研究介面直接切到正在看的那輛車的選項。
- added the option to activate fire extinguisher by left-clicking the fire
icon in the left lower corner of the screen
可以藉由滑鼠點螢幕左下角啟動滅火器
- after the destruction of your tank, the camera will now first cycle to the
tank of your platoon member and other tanks after that
爆車之後視角會先換到排組成員再切到其他隊友。
- added the reload time remaining to the “reloading” message (from the
command circle)
裝填中的指令會加上需要的秒數
(這下子用西里爾字母洗版的笨蛋會變少一點...)
- added new markers to the aim reticle settings
新樣式準星
- fixed the bug where the mastery badges “disappear” for many players
修正玩家mastery badge消失的問題
- fixed the chat and voicechat in team battles
修正隊伍模式中對話/語音的問題
- fixed sharp drop of FPS on some PC configurations, when looking closely at
some of the Japanese tanks
修正某些電腦設定下近看日本車會掉FPS的問題
- fixed the way visual camo works: now, if you buy camouflage pattern for
gold, it gets stored and you can return to it later if you buy other camo of
the same type
修正迷彩作用方式:如果花金幣買迷彩,接著又塗了另一種同類迷彩蓋掉,還是可以拿回
原有的那種迷彩色調。
- added new “Hero of the Battle” medals: “Main Caliber” (for doing
damage) and “Tanker-Sniper” (for doing damage at distance over 300 meters)
- the “Sniper” medal was moved from “sniper” to “special” category, in
the achievement window you will be able to see how many Sniper medals you got
and on what vehicles. It will not be possible to recieve Sniper medals
anymore.
Sniper勳章移到特種勳章區(魏特曼勳章、CW活動參戰章etc),未來不會再頒發。
新增Main Caliber(製造傷害)和tanker-sniper(300m以外打出傷害)兩種勳章。
(譯註:靠,8.11前拚拚看能否打滿一千個sniper。)
- added several new awards especially for team battles
新增隊伍模式用勳章
- added the option to actually see you fulfilled the conditions for the
mastery badge, even if you already have one for that vehicle
新增「即使拿過牌,還是可以看到這場的經驗在哪個牌水深」的功能。
- optimized the motion blur effect
移動模糊效果優化
- added the modifiers, influencing the skill level of the crewman to the
crewman personal window
在組員資訊視窗新增影響組員技能熟練度的修正。

各國階級章會統一到一個標準
(譯註:不知道WG打算怎麼處理,不同的國家本來就有不同的軍階,即使北約對照到
同樣的軍階,多少還是會有不精確處。另外像是准尉這個軍階也是某些國家專屬的)

以下是目前暫定,PT結束前都不用急著噴WG。
上述155/152mm的alpha修正為750,ROF不補償。F155引擎馬力調為1000hp。
WTF的車體迴轉、砲塔散圈、砲塔轉速nerf。
268的HEAT從450減為395
- increased the profitability (money-making ability) of following tanks:

上述車輛賺錢能力增加。
- MM weight of artillery reduced by 10 percent
砲兵權重-10%
- following tanks have the suspension damage model detailization
standardized: T29, T32, T34, M37, M41, Chaffee, Pershing, T92, Hellcat,
M4A2E4, M46 Patton, M103, T57, T110E5, T26E4, T110E4, T110E3, M44, M53/M55,
T69, M60
上述車輛履帶傷害模組增加細節標準化。

Hello, everyone! My name is Peter Poray–Koshits. I am the lead of the World
of Warships game design department. I’m also known as PPK in World of Tanks,
Warplanes, Warships, and many other games. Today, I’m going to answer
scintillating questions from you, the readers of our blog, or at least a
major part of them – even a Yamato has a limited range of fire. :)
TLDR:WOWS開發組長Peter Poray (Koshits)回答一些問題。
1.Please tell us a bit more about the visible damage that may be dealt to a
ship.
可以多透漏一些關於艦艇可見傷害的內容嗎?
The ship will have visible traces of artillery hits and onboard fire. You
will also have an opportunity to see that a number of functional modules are
severely damaged and are no longer operable: the main battery caliber
turrets, torpedo launchers, superstructures, radars, range finders, etc.,
will all show this damage.
艦艇會有可見的彈痕和著火效果,也有機會看到功能模組嚴重損壞失去機能,例如主砲
塔、魚雷發射管、上層建築、雷達、測距儀之類的,這些傷害全部都會表現出來。
2.Are there any intentions to introduce ship sub-classes into the game? (For
instance, battlecruisers, etc.)
有打算把艦艇的次分類引入遊戲嗎?
(譯註:BC、CC、CB、DE、CVL、CVB、CVE、德國的大型巡洋艦、法國巡洋艦殺手之類的)
The game will feature four distinctive classes: battleships, cruisers,
destroyers and aircraft carriers. We do feature battlecruisers, along with
other sub-types of ships, but they are under the cruiser umbrella, and it’s
up to players how to use them in an effective manner.
遊戲會把艦艇分為BB、CA、DD和CA,我們會放CC,但是基本上CC還是巡洋艦家族。
基本上怎麼有效的利用這些稱呼是玩家的事。
(譯註:把BC、CC、CB、Panzerschiff、Grosserkruizer、Croiseur de combat全部扔去
當巡洋艦是最省事的作法,但是目前CC和CB看來會被放到BB裡面,另外像是金剛這種使用
國家稱為BB但是本質比較類似BC的東西也很尷尬...)
3.Will there be any additional battle modes similar to World of Tanks (like “
Assault” and “Encounter”)?
會有隨機戰鬥外的模式嗎?
Yes, World of Warships will include game modes similar to World of Tanks, as
well as a number of its own modes; we’re working on it. It’s no secret that
a “Convoy Escort” mode seems to belong in this game, for instance. Of
course, we’re not 100% sure that will appear in the final game release, but
we’re experimenting with it, and it looks pretty fine. Battleships advancing
to clear out the convoy’s path, while destroyers are arranging a fake convoy
on the other flank… Cruisers speeding to avoid any enemy destroyers that get
too close to cargo ships – lots of new stuff that will cause you to
reconsider your approach in such battles.
會有額外的模式,例如「護航戰」。還不確定會不會放到遊戲中,不過我們已經在測了
,感覺還不錯。例如戰艦開路、驅逐艦群偽裝成另一支護航船隊,巡洋艦高速機動以免
敵軍驅逐艦靠近運輸船─一堆可以讓玩家重新考慮行動模式的遊戲內容。
4.I’d like to get an update about maps — how many of them are in the initial
plans, and what is their features?
我想知道關於地圖,最初設定有幾張,特色又分別是什麼?
I can’t quite confirm the total number of maps at the moment. I expect five
to 10 of them by the time World of Warships releases. The characteristics
which feature most significantly are actual elements from the real-world
locations on which they are based, e.g., the Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean,
North Sea, South China Sea, etc. Moreover, the maps will differ by size:
smaller maps for lower-tier ships, etc. Battle modes will also affect map
selection.
目前還不能確定總數,開始營運的時候應該是五到十張。特色是基於現實世界相對應的
海域,例如太平洋、大西洋、北海、南中國海之類的。
另外地圖的尺寸會不一樣,低階船艦的地圖比較小;戰鬥模式也會影響地圖。
5.Will there be any sort of “open world” concept, where any player will be
given a ship and an ocean to do whatever he wants?
會有模式可以在一片海域上任意行駛嗎?
(有點像是練習模式那樣)
This concept is under consideration. It may happen, maybe, somewhere in the
distant future.
考慮中,未來可能會實裝。
6.What are the hardware requirements for WoWs?
硬體需求?
They will be close to that of World of Tanks. The game runs well on laptops,
even on those with integrated Intel graphics chips onboard.
和WOT差不多,內建顯晶也可以玩。
7.How will the player control aircraft?
玩家要怎麼控制艦載機?
Controlling aircraft in World of Warships doesn’t actually follow any other
existing mechanics. The system itself is being tweaked, enhanced and
developed.
控制艦載機的方式和既有的所有機制都不同,目前正在測試調整這個機制。
8.Will it be possible to equip an aircraft carrier with only one type of
planes, say, fighters or dive bombers?
可能在CV上只裝一種艦載機,例如純戰鬥機或是純俯衝轟炸機?
Players will be able to choose the aviation onboard solely at the their own
discretion: reconnaissance planes, fighters, bombers and torpedo planes in
any proportion.
玩家可以自由選擇艦載機比例,自行調整艦偵、艦戰、艦爆、艦攻的比例。
(譯註:直接用日文漢字了,比較方便。另外這個算是吃書,之前似乎有講過一定要帶
所有種類的艦載機,不能純種艦爆之類的)
9.Are you working on the physics of sinking after a ship is destroyed?
有開發艦艇被擊毀之後的沉沒效果嗎?
Yes, we’re working on this as well. It should be noted that not every
destroyed ship actually sank. Often, it was destined to float with one soul
alive on it. But this is a gameplay component, too — you may run into such a
ship, or the smoke from its onboard fire may prevent you from effective
observation.
有,而且不是每艘被擊毀的艦艇都會沉沒,可能會漂浮。這也是遊戲內容,你可能撞到殘
骸或是被煙霧妨礙。
10.Will the cannons differ by their depression angles, as in World of Tanks,
where American tanks can point the cannon lower compared to other nations?
主砲俯角會不會各國相異,例如WOT美國戰車的俯角比較好?
(譯註:沒讀書的蠢問題,要問也是問仰角)
Main battery turrets of various ships are known to have pretty similar
depression angles — 0-5 degrees. Although, some elevation angles could vary
from 20 to 45°; this factor would influence maximum firing range. All these
factors are represented in World of Warships. Also, we pay attention to the
accuracy of traverse angles of main turrets and torpedo launchers, their
front angles and their blind zones. For instance, the Takao is a hell of a
ship: being a cruiser that possesses four torpedo launchers, it still lacks
ultimate superiority — the launchers have separate firing sectors that do
not cross. So, basically, you’ll have to turn your hull to aim each of them
at your target. We have AA sectors in future plans, too. Thus, you will be
able to turn the most effective side of your ship toward approaching diving
bombers.
大部分艦艇的主砲俯角都是0 ~ -5度。但是仰角可以從20~ 45度,這會影響最大射程。
所有的特色都會在WOWS中做出來,我們會注意各砲射界和魚雷投射界的準確性。
例如高雄級就是令人印象深刻的雷裝重巡,但是她的魚雷發射管射界並不重疊,因此
必須操艦已分別瞄準兩組魚雷發射管。
我們的未來計畫也包含高砲部分,玩家將可以把最有效的舷側火力對準來襲的艦爆。

碎碎念:俯角真的不重要,基本上不太會有那種需要打1km以內的狀況,除非全隊都在蠢
才需要打超近距離射擊。
而之所以說仰角比較重要是因為很多艦艇的主砲是高平兩用,日本來說像是天龍防空案
(127mm 89式)、大鳳、秋月(100mm 98式)、摩耶;美國的所有條約型驅逐艦(Mahan/
Farragut/Benson/Fletcher/Allen Somner/Gearing etc)、亞特蘭大級(5in/L38)、英國
黛朵級之類的。
現在的技術重點就是WG怎麼整合這種船艦的火控介面讓玩家可以輕鬆有效的選擇攻擊
水面或空中目標。
另外就是,比起高雄/妙高,我其實比較想玩平賀妙高案,畢竟只有艦政本部會覺得
把十噸的TNT放到輪機艙正上方很好玩....
11.What is the approximate length of a battle? Will it be sufficient to fulfill
all mission goals?
戰鬥長度?時間夠不夠完成戰鬥目標?
Currently, battles last up to 20 minutes, though this may be corrected
further on, if necessary. This time is enough to get a few victories per
battle (I even saw a cruiser with six wins by the end of the clash). There
are also rumors about the “Black Destroyer” that appears online at
midnight, gets nine frags and disappears, though i haven’t met her yet… :)
目前最多約20分鐘(譯註:WOWS的戰鬥已經加速過了),未來有必要的話還要修正。
基本上這個時間長度足夠打爆幾艘船,例如說我看過一艘CA終場拿下六殺。
12.
I was always interested to know how the workplace of a programmer looks (that
person who compiles the final code of the game, assembling its every tiny
part)? By the way, what position do they occupy?
Well, the final code is assembled by script at night. Nevertheless, it is up
to us, real humans, to decide what components will be included in a certain
build; Andrey Lysak is predominantly responsible for that. Proudly, I present
to you how his workplace looks.

13.What are the odds that alpha testers of World of Warplanes and World of
Tanks: Generals can join the World of Warships alpha?
WOWP/WOT:G的alpha tester加入WOWSalpha的條件?
Equal to those of ordinary users.
和其他人一樣。
(EU最近在辦活動,開T3/T4打出全伺服器前10名的經驗直接送CB資格)
14.How about the barriers to entry?
會很難上手嗎?
This is one of the most important points to check with the help of our alpha
testers. Based on the tests, we see that guys with 10-20,000 battles have no
difficulties with the interface. Aircraft carriers seem to be the most
difficult part – they can be pretty complex even for experienced players.
依照alpha結果,只玩10場的和20K場的都可以順利操作用介面。
CV是最難操控的艦種,即使是老手也不容易上手。
15.Will there be a minimap in the game?
有小地圖嗎?
Yes, it will be included, similar to World of Tanks. We plan to mark shallows
there. There will also be a tactical map that will be a useful tool for some
important tactical functions.
會有類似WOT的小地圖,我們會標示出淺灘。另外還會有戰術地圖,用來執行一些重要的
戰術行動。
16.But, the map itself is only 50x50km!Will it be possible to note shallows 100
meters long?
但是要怎麼在50*50公里的地圖上標出100公尺的淺灘區域?
Well, we plan to mark them by icon on the minimap. Their actual placement
will be seen in the world itself. After all, who said it would be an easy
process?
我們打算用小地圖的圖標顯示出來,實際的位置會在遊戲畫面中看到。
總之,一開始就沒說這是個簡單的工作。
