台北市外勞文化中心徵求電腦
各位關懷弱勢與公益的朋友們，您好！
在2002年的３月，全台首座外勞文化中心正式成立，這座中
心主要提供在台灣的外籍勞工一個文化發聲及休閒聚會的場所。
這些遠離家鄉來台工作的外勞朋友們，除了勞動條件處於劣
勢之外，因為法令結構的不完善，他們還得忍受種種不公平的待
遇與剝削，在這樣的處境之下，和故鄉家人的聯繫便成了他們生
活重要的慰藉，但他們每月的工資在扣除一堆雜七雜八的款項之
後，已是所剩無幾，實在沒有能力再去負擔那昂貴的國際電話費，
所以若是能透過INTERNET來與家鄉聯繫，不但可以節省他們的
負擔，同時可以也給他們一個與其他國家的外勞團體做資源分享
與連結的機會，讓這群來自異國的勞動者能夠以外勞文化中心作
為一個基地，自力建構一個全球外勞文化、團結、互助的國際網
絡。
所以，我們需要您的幫助，如果您或您的朋友有要淘汰但仍
堪使用的電腦，（當然，如果是全新的電腦我們也很歡迎）您可以
捐給我們，感激您的慷慨相助！

LETTER OF SOLICITATION
The House of the Migrants' Empowerment (H.O.M.E.) is a cultural
center that serves as an activity center for all migrant workers.
The place has a multi-purpose hall that can be use for seminars and
workshops. We do also have a fitness area, a karaoke, a set of
table tennis and a mini-library. On Sundays we have the most
number of visiting migrant workers.
The facilities have almost completed except for the idea of coming
up with a computer units around the center crop up. With
discussion to a large number of migrant workers, we have found out
that they are raring to have an access to computers, too. If
opportunity offers, they would want to learn the know-how of the
information technology for it also gives them a chance to learn
other skills.
With this regard, we are knocking on your kindest heart for
DONATIONS of used but usable computer sets. Any kind,
model and accessories that come with the computer will be of great
help for a good cause.

plea.
