White Sox agreed to terms with first baseman Ross Gload on a one-year,
$625,000 contract.
Gload, who was eligible for arbitration for the first time, hit .327/.354/.462
in 156 at-bats last season. He'll continue to act as insurance for Paul Konerko
and Jim Thome. It's just too bad he's not more of an option in the outfield.
