Some of you may remember our friend Ashle, who sometimes would stop by with
information. Ashle was the first person to have the cover of the "Fine"
release, and also came close to having the title of the JW album. Ashle wrote
me the following note, so I'm just putting it out here. I can't verify it for
the Whitney sleuths among you, but Ashle has been good to us in the past and
it's very nice to hear:
I just want to report a little bit of great news. I don't want to go any
deeper than this. I saw Whitney last week in New York. She recorded an upbeat
track. She came into the studio looking VERY good and in an upbeat mood. This
is the greatest part. She nailed the song on the very first take. When she
finished the take, she asked the producer and engineer if they wanted her to
do it again, and they said 'NO,' you did it perfectly.
