谷歌熱門關鍵字 林書豪進榜

谷歌今天公布全球年度熱門搜尋關鍵字排行榜，已故樂壇天后惠妮休斯頓
（Whitney Houston）居冠，南韓歌手PSY的「江南Style」MV排第2，林書
豪則是運動員類別竄紅關鍵字第一名。
根據谷歌「時代精神」（Zeitgeist）排行榜，惠妮休斯頓是今年「最熱門
搜尋關鍵字」。惠妮原本預定在今年2月葛萊美獎頒獎前夕派對表演，結果
傳出意外溺斃浴缸，全球網友紛紛搜尋她的死訊。
谷歌今天在部落格發文說，搜尋排行榜「透過檢視谷歌數十億筆搜尋，深
入觀察時代精神」。。。

The world's attention wavered between the tragic and the silly in 2012, and
along the way, millions of people searched the Web to find out about a royal
princess, the latest iPad, and a record-breaking skydiver.
Whitney Houston was the ``top trending'' search of the year, according to
Google Inc.'s year-end ``zeitgeist'' report. Google's 12th annual roundup is
``an in-depth look at the spirit of the times as seen through the billions of
searches on Google over the past year,'' the company said in a blog post
Wednesday.
People around the globe searched en masse for news about Houston's accidental
drowning in a bathtub just before she was to perform at a pre-Grammy Awards
party in February……

Whitney Houston, who died in February, edged past "Gangnam Style," "Hurricane
Sandy" and "iPad 3" to top the list of global trending searches in 2012,
according to Google's annual review of popular queries.
Houston, famous for such songs as "Greatest Love of All" and "I Will Always
Love You," was at the top of the list. Searches for "Gangnam Style," a music
video clip by Korean singing artist Psy with a record 930 million YouTube
views, came in second. Grabbing the No. 3 spot was "Hurricane Sandy," the
storm that lashed the New York area in late October. They were followed by
Apple's "iPad 3" and then Activision Blizzard's "Diablo 3" video game.
In the United States, the 2012 presidential election was the third- highest
trending search after Whitney Houston and Hurricane Sandy, with "Gangnam
Style" slipping to No. 8.
Facebook, which surpassed 1 billion users this year, also unveiled its own
"Year in Review" on Wednesday, highlighting top topics and trends during 2012.
Within the world's largest social network, the U.S. presidential election was
the top event, followed by the Super Bowl and death of Whitney Houston……

Google on Wednesday provided a look at the "spirit of the times" based on
what people sought online using the world's most popular search engine.
Whitney Houston's unexpected death resulted in information about the singer
being the most explored topic globally on the Internet, according to the
Google Zeitgeist 2012 report.
The "Gangnam Style" dance by performer PSY of South Korea made him the top
query in many countries and second only to Houston globally, according to

Obama election tweet most repeated but Olympics tops on Twitter

An election victory tweet from President Barack Obama -- "Four more years"
with a picture of him hugging his wife -- was the most retweeted ever, but
the U.S. election was topped by the Olympics as the most tweeted event this
year.
Behind Obama was pop star Justin Beiber. His tweet, "RIP Avalanna. i love
you" sent when a six-year-old fan died from a rare form of brain cancer, was
retweeted more than 220,000 times.
News of pop star Whitney Houston's death in February generated more than 10
million tweets, peaking at 73,662 per minute……
