Q&A with Venus and Serena Williams
Q. What was it about this tour that was attractive to you?
VENUS: With us it's all about helping and having an opportunity to give back.
It's also a joy to see smiles on children's faces who might not have had a
chance to see us play otherwise.
Q. Do you find outside distractions taking you away from the game?
VENUS: Personally, I don't find myself moving away from tennis. ... I don't
see myself pulling away from tennis until I can't do it anymore.
Q. How did you choose Denver, New Orleans and Charlotte?
SERENA: We've done major cities around the country, it just seemed like it
was time to give Denver, New Orleans and Charlotte a chance. ...
We try to go to areas where we've never been before to give fans a chance to
see us play.
Q. Will fans be treated to you wearing original creations?
VENUS: I don't think so, unfortunately. That would mean I would have to get
into my sewing room now. ... Maybe I'll pull out a retro dress for fun.
SERENA: They'll be treated with me. I'll break out the Nike stuff, the new
line I have. I'll definitely bring it out for the Williams Sisters Tour.
