Osvaldo Ardiles Believes Argentina’s Win Over Nigeria Was Like
A Training Session
Argentina started their 2010 World Cup campaign with a narrow 1-0 victory
against Nigeria on Saturday courtesy of an early Gabriel Heinze header.
Former Argentina international Osvaldo Ardiles wasn't impressed too much
with Nigeria's performance and pointed out that the Albiceleste will
qualify for the next round with ease.
"Nigeria’s goalkeeper had a great game. [Lionel] Messi had a great,
great game. He did everything but score," Ardiles was quoted as saying
by SABC.
"For us though, this wasn't much more than a training session. I expected
much more from Nigeria. For us though it is a good start and we can
build from this and move forward.
"This should be the most difficult game for us. I expect Argentina to
win the next two games. It is then between South Korea and Nigeria.
That will be the biggest game
