Italy team doctor Enrico Castellacci has failed to ease concerns over

Gianluigi Buffon's sciatic nerve injury, claiming he has no clues as

to when he will recover - putting his presence in South Africa in

further doubt.



The goalkeeper came off at the interval during Italy's 1-1 draw against

Paraguay on Monday night.



After the game Buffon confirmed his injury was not serious and that it

 would take two days to recover.



But Castellacci has a different diagnosis, raising doubts as to whether

 the keeper will recover to play against New Zealand and then Slovakia

 in Group F's remaining clashes.



"At the moment we cannot hypothesise a recovery date, that will be

based on objective clinical conditions," Castellacci told the press.



"For now he will undergo a programme of physiotherapy."

Buffon did not train with the rest of the team on Tuesday afternoon.

Fabio Cannavaro and Andrea Pirlo were also absent from the session.
