i plan on holding on to my youth for as long as possible.
B: sometimes that choice isn't up to you.
C: that's the best thing about blair.
she knows me, knows i'll never change.
B: yeah... until you take her away to europe on a private jet.
that is gonna change everything. but that's a good thing, son.
having a real girlfriend will force you to learn about responsibility,
sacrifice, being faithful, taking into account somebody else's feelings,
not just your own.
C: feelings?
B: all the partying and the women...
you will come back from this summer a new man. take my word for it.
C: oh,i will.
這段對話的這兩句蠻關鍵的
其實這時的Chuck Bass還是本性難移，也沒有把老爸的建言聽進去
同時也對老爸說的所謂feelings感到不以為意 (其中參雜了沒有母親的因素吧)
所以馬上Amelia出現之後還是混進去女人堆之中= =
終於父子心結的解開則是在第三季第十二集的告解如下
(這裡的B是Blair)
C: I've been...pushing myself to prove him wrong,
and...been pushing you away.
B: I don't think you ran away because you couldn't handle death.
I think it's because you couldn't handle feelings.
But you're not like that anymore.
You're strong.
因為他要證明Bart說的是錯的
所以過去一直不去taking into account BLAIR's feelings
然而現在終於透過一個女人(Blair)來解開他們父子過去的矛盾心結
而Chuck也間接地從Blari身上獲得了證明
個人還蠻欣賞編劇安排的手法
