早期的搖滾樂經常被視為跳舞音樂的一種。
唐麥克林回憶年少時代，就希望自己能從事這類音樂。
But February made me shiver with every paper I'd deliver
唐麥克林的偶像 Buddy Holly 於１９５９年二月三日，死於飛機失事，飛機因為一場
暴風雪墜於愛荷華州。
唐麥克林在成為一位專職的作曲家歌手以前，唯一從事過的行業是送報生。
