板塊聚合時形成的一種盆地構造，
通常是continent-continent or within continent，
分為pro（peripheral）跟retor（retroarc）兩種。
因為地殼變厚、擠壓與山脈形成的關係，
發生lithospheric flexure 使得地層彎曲，
最後在山的兩側或單側發生盆地的構造。
*seismic migration
繪製一個地震波的資料在其實際空間位置。
其目的是為了校正不準確的傾角位置於大量資料與衰弱的繞射上。
Migration: plotting of seismic data in its true spatial position.
This corrects for theincorrect placement of dipping reflections
on stacked data and collapses diffractions.

石油系統或油氣系統
主要是由下列幾個要素所組成，
包括油氣源岩(source rock)及其成熟度(mature)，
油氣移棲(migration pathway)，油氣圈閉(trap)，
油氣的保存(reservoir)以及油氣藏(seal)。
其過程分為generation，migration與accumulation。
generation主要受到有機質的成份、形成溫度與時間影響，
另外還包括壓力與石油系統的發展等。
而migration分為一次移棲(primary，頁岩或生油岩)與二次移棲(secondary，砂岩)。
accumulation則受到前面兩者（generation,migration）影響較大產生不同形式。
*acoustic impedance（聽覺阻抗參數）:
代號Z，又稱為sound impedance，是頻率f的相依參數。
Z=P/VS
P：聲壓 sound pressure
V：質點速度
S：表面積
z＝P/V=ZS
z：specific sound impedance

油田(prospect)
An exploration target in a single trap; it become an “oil field” if it contains
producible oil or gas
在一個油氣圈中的開挖目標，若其中具有可開採的石油或天然氣時，則變成一個
油場。
油區(play)
A reservoir facies units whose oil and gas prospects have similar:
－trap types
－sources
－seals
一個石油貯存相的單位，被預期具有類似的 trap types、sources跟seals
*flower structures:
當發生strike-slip fault（都是聚合或都是張裂）時，
可能形成的構造，分為positive（右）與negative（左）兩種(見圖)

synthetic seismogram:
綜合性地震圖（人造地震圖、合成地震圖），
在藉由震動圖判斷某地區是否具有開挖的價值或乾井時，
必須要具備time-depth chart或velocity function(depth=velocity x time)
