actually, I have a NW flight schedule at hand.
I just took a look for 10 seconds, and I got all the flight information.
Keep in mind the NW main fleet: 727,DC9,DC10 are all older than me. :p
with average age 25~30 years old. :p

My flight & car is already booked long time ago, and I'm going to book hotel
soon.
Current plan:
10/12 6AM depart DTW; arrive Sleeping bear at noon.
tour around in the afternoon. Then leave the area at around 5PM.
drive north to some lakeshore town (ex: Petoskey) arrive by 7PM. stay overnight
10/13 depart by 9AM. drive north to Sault Ste Marie to see Lake Huron & Lake
Superior on the way. arrive by 10:30AM.
leave by noon, drive all the way South to Ann Arbor/DTW; arrive by 6PM.

Since we are renting a car, I don't think this can save much time though :p
Unless you want to park you car in the long-term parking lot. That's ok.
