ABC news 上看到的 TAIPEI, Taiwan (AP) _ Taiwanese generals have questioned an old law requiring them to bow before the portrait of the island's president, a newspaper reported Sunday. Under a law enacted in the 1950s, newly elected President Chen Shui-bian's portrait will be hung in government offices to replace that of retiring President Lee Teng-hui, who led Taiwan for 12 years. Officials will be asked to bow before the portrait at special ceremonies. But after more than a half century of rule by the Nationalists, some generals are reluctant to switch their loyalty to Chen, the first president from the opposition Democratic Progressive Party, the China Times reported. 嗯....50 年風水輪流轉..... :) 我覺得今年的國慶日應該跟往年會有些不同..... :) ps:即將卸任的總統原來叫做 retiring Presient ..... -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.twbbs.org) ◆ From: ccsun79.cc.ntu.edu.tw
