I'm going to be back in Taiwan in November. I want to use a mobile phone, at least for SMS and maybe also for making some short phone calls. Someone was selling an Ericsson I888 world phone on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=442809503 How much is a second-hand I888 worth? I was the high bidder on the auction, but the reserve price was not met. The seller then contacted me and asked me if I want to buy the phone anyway. How much should I offer to pay for the phone? Does anyone here have a second-hand handset that they can sell to me or lend to me? Also-- What is the cheapest way to make phone calls from Taiwan to the U.S.? Mobile phone companies in Taiwan seem to charge approximately US$0.80 per minute, right?
