Sergio Vartolo
畢業於義大利北方的 Bologna 大學，
並於 Bologna 音樂院 ( Conservatorio of Bologna ) 學習管風琴與大鍵琴演奏。
1970年開始於歐洲巡迴演出，
身兼管風琴家、大鍵琴家、指揮、舞台指導、歌唱家等數種身分。
現於 Mantua 音樂院教授大鍵琴演奏。
其錄音散見於 Naxos, harmonia mundi, TACTUS 等廠牌，
對於 Monteverdi 以及 Vecchi 作品的詮釋特別受到好評。
Early Music Review 對其評價為：
"There is plenty of gusto here,
coupled with a stylish command of the madrigal settings...
I can thoroughly recommend it..."
Fanfare 雜誌對於其 Monteverdi ( on Naxos ) 詮釋的評價：
"The singers are excellent and integrated into a carefully prepared ensemble...
You will not do much better at triple the price."
