Is that a recording of a life concert?
For example, if 1812 was performed right before piano concerto No.25,
the pianist may intend to include elements of 1812 into the cadenza part
of the concerto, probably to make the showpiece more enjoyable and the whole
program more "unified".
Here is a true story about a goodfriend of mine.
In the first half of the concert he performed clarinet trio by Car Nielsen,
and in the second half clarinet concerto by Mozart.
In the cadenza part of Mozart's first movement, he used different motifs by
Nielson and Mozart to make it a lyrical duet.
