Noel Hogan today posted a demo of a brand new Mono Band song called "Black
Hair" on MySpace.
This track also features Richard Walters on vocals. This song has not been
performed live before, making this its debut.
Days ago, Noel posted the studio demo of "Armies of Mice" on MySpace, which
was performed during the Gemma Hayes support tour last fall. Thanks to Kama
for the tip.
In other Mono Band news, Irish music bible Hot Press mentioned the band in an
article posted yesterday. Senior Editor Niall Stokes said the band was
snubbed by not being nominated for HMV's Choice Irish Music Prize, writing,
"What of another Limerick outfit, the unfashionable but excellent Noel Hogan
solo vehicle Mono Band, the quality of whose eponymous record surprised even
the open-minded?"
