As forwarder in the USA, mostly deal with arrival cargo, our situation
might be little bit different, still for your reference.
IF our customer request import cargo clearance, we would always ask INV+P/L
and related cargo documentation. If not and the customer is able to clear
the customs by themselves, we will not bother to ask.
However, we alaways suggest complete set of cargo documention handy, in case
you ever needed.
For USA import cargo, all cargo documentation is required for customs clearance.
Any incomplete documentation might tiger the alarm at the customs and incurr
custom exam before cargo release to the consignee.
