從 SOTW (Sax On The Web) 論壇上看到的。 原文連結:http://tinyurl.com/2bszrhr ---- The great Don Menza had quit playing. One morning when he was working in the yard, his wife came out and said that he had a phone call. When he asked who it was, she said, "Sonny Rollins". "Sure" he said, "and I'm Charlie Parker". "Hey Don, I heard that", Sonny said. So Don sat down on the floor in the garage where he had taken the call and said, "hey, what's happening? How are you doing"? "I'm doing so-so" Sony answered. "I'm kind of sad." "What happened, man?" Don asked. "I hear a friend of mine wants to quit playing the saxophone" said Sonny. Don said, "Sonny, we don't have enough time to talk about it". "No, no" said Sonny, "why do you want to do this? Man, if I can tell you, in my life, the disappointments I've had about music, it would be overwhelming. But you have got to go through it. Don't look back. Expect nothing and you won't be disappointed." ---- 我覺得他是個非常睿智而且溫暖的長者。 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 123.204.112.44
