為了確保資料傳輸的機密性，Windows XP 使用 NTFS 的「加密檔案系統」功能在本機加
密檔案。然而，若是從 Microsoft Windows 98 或 Microsoft Windows Millennium
Edition 升級的系統，未將檔案系統轉換為 NTFS，或者是在安裝期間選取了 FAT 檔案系
統，則會無法加密網頁伺服器上的檔案。

非 Microsoft PPPoE 用戶端應用程式的相容性問題
此資訊適用於使用非 Microsoft 之虛擬私人網路 (VPN) 應用程式進行遠端存取的電腦。
許多非 Microsoft 之乙太網路上的點對點通訊協定 (PPPoE) 用戶端應用程式無法在
Windows XP 上完整的運作或正確的安裝。如果您的網際網路服務提供者 (ISP) 需要
PPPoE 連線到網際網路，您可以使用 Windows XP 中的 PPPoE 來解決 PPPoE 的問題，
或者您可以要求軟體廠商或 ISP 提供 Windows XP 相容的 PPPoE 用戶端應用程式。
如果您使用下列其中一個產品，請連絡廠商以取得這些軟體的 Windows XP 相容版本：
WinPoET 2.1a 或較早版本
EnterNet 300 1.34 或較早版本

Windows XP 不再支援一些網路通訊協定，因為這些網路通訊協定所提供的功能已經被

Windows XP 不再支援的網路通訊協定如下：
NetBIOS 延伸使用者介面 (NetBEUI，非路由式的通訊協定)
資料連結控制 (DLC，非路由式的通訊協定)
AppleTalk (與 Apple 電腦搭配使用的通訊協定)
VTNT 終端機上 Telnet 用戶端應用程式的東亞語言字型
為使 VTNT 終端機上的 Telnet 用戶端能正常使用東亞語言，用戶端必須設定為使用
TrueType 字型。在執行 Telnet 用戶端之前必須進行此設定。若要如此做，請使用下列
程序：
設定 Telnet 用戶端使用 TrueType 字型
開啟命令提示字元視窗。
以滑鼠右鍵按一下命令提示字元視窗標題列或系統功能表，然後按一下 [內容]。
在 [字型] 索引標籤上，選取一種 TrueType 字型，然後按一下 [確定]。
選取 [修改啟動這個視窗的捷徑]，然後按一下 [確定]。
依序按一下 [開始] 及 [執行]，再鍵入下列字串：
telnet
當 Telnet 視窗出現時，重複步驟 2 到 4。
無線網路裝置
ORiNOCO Wireless LAN card
如果您安裝 ORiNOCO Wireless LAN Card CD 中的公用程式，Windows XP Wireless
Configuration Service 會無法正確執行。這是因為這些公用程式會干擾卡片的控制。所
以網路內容中的無線設定索引標籤不會出現，且不會自動設定此卡片。
修正 ORiNOCO Wireless LAN Card 的問題
透過 [控制台] 中的 [新增或移除程式]，移除 ORiNOCO 公用程式。
使用 [裝置管理員] 來將 ORiNOCO 卡片解除安裝。
若要開啟 [裝置管理員]，請按一下 [開始]，再按 [控制台]。按一下 [效能及維護]，再
按 [系統]。在 [硬體] 索引標籤上，按一下 [裝置管理員]。
透過 [裝置管理員] 中的 [硬體變更掃描] 或重新啟動 Windows XP，重新安裝驅動程式

無線 LAN 顯示訊息

防毒軟體
您必須確定防毒軟體是專為電腦上所執行的 Windows XP 版本所撰寫的。這表示該軟體是
專為 Windows XP Home Edition 或 Windows XP Professional，或者同時為兩個作業系
統所撰寫的。
不是為了在您的特定 Windows XP 作業系統上執行而撰寫的防毒驅動程式可能會造成問題
。例如，軟體可能無法對病毒執行即時偵測，而使得系統容易受到病毒攻擊的危害。
這個問題所導致結果的嚴重性不一，輕則發生可恢復的錯誤，重則遺失部分或全部的資料

Microsoft Agent
Windows XP 支援語音應用程式設計介面 (SAPI) 5.0 版的引擎和程式。若要避免
Microsoft Agent 應用程式無法使用 SAPI 4.0 版語音輸入或輸出引擎的功能，您必須
安裝 SAPI 4.0a 版執行階段支援，然後再安裝 SAPI 4.0 版語音引擎。即使在您升級到
Windows XP 之前它們就已經搭配 Microsoft Agent 運作，您仍需要執行上述的動作。

SMTP 驗證
此資訊僅適用於 Windows XP Professional。
您可將 Windows XP 中的 Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) 服務設定成必須先通
過驗證，用戶端才能發出郵件命令。在工作群組中安裝或升級到 Windows XP
Professional 時，因為登錄機碼已設定成僅強制對來賓進行驗證，所以驗證選項 NTLM (
之前稱為 Windows NT LAN Manager) 及 Generic Security Services API (GSSAPI) 無
法作用。
您可以設定此強制來賓驗證的登錄機碼，即可解決這個問題。

邏輯磁碟區管理員
本機裝置的磁碟機名稱 (每一個都是英文字母) 通常是從字母 C 開始累進指定 (C、D、
E 等等)。網路磁碟機名稱會自動從 Z 開始以相反的順序指定 (Z、Y、X 等等)。
當使用記憶體晶片組的數位相機或其他裝置連接到 Windows XP 時，如果電腦是開啟的，
則會造成磁碟機代號與現有網路共用磁碟機發生衝突的問題。類似的衝突可能出現在新增
外接式磁碟機時 (例如 USB 或 1394 磁碟)。如果現有網路共用磁碟機發生命名衝突，裝
置或外接式磁碟機會無法存取。
若要防止此問題，請讓 Windows 自動指派網路磁碟機名稱，或為磁碟機名稱選擇較高的
字母。
磁碟區管理
Windows XP 不支援 Microsoft Windows NT® 4.0 版 Ftdisk 磁碟區組。
如果您執行 Microsoft Windows 2000，在升級至 Windows XP 之前，必須將全部
Ftdisk 磁碟區組轉換成動態磁碟區。如果您執行 Windows NT 4.0，在升級至 Windows
XP 之前，應該中斷所有鏡像磁碟區並備份等量、RAID5 或延伸磁碟區組上的全部資料。
執行升級之後可能無法存取 Ftdisk 磁碟區組。
