As you are all aware by now Placebo have been announced to play Live 8 in
Paris. We have now officially confirmed this, and can give you a few more
details.
They will perform at 9.49pm, Central European time, subject to change, on
Saturday night, 2nd July at the Palais de Versailles, Paris. Placebo will
perform two songs. The performance is scheduled to go out live on M6
television and NRJ radio in France on Saturday night. You will also be able
to watch live online on demand at http://www.aol.fr. Other TV highlights will
hopefully be shown in other countries for people who can't be there.

The band believe strongly in what Live 8 stands for and have a huge amount
of respect for Sir Bob Gldof efforts to pull these Live 8 shows together, but
most importantly, what he has done already to make people aware of the
massive World Debt problem and force Governments into action, even before a
note has been struck at any of the shows.
